“While a stunning first impression is not the same thing as love at first sight, it surely is an invitation to consider the matter.” (Anonymous)

Welcome to Marlborough’s newly updated website! Hopefully, you’ll find it reflects the true personality of our town while providing all the important local information. We hope it will be a place you’ll want to visit often.

South Main Street:
After completing 4 of the culverts, funds remain to complete a 5th culvert this fall. While it delays the reopening by another couple of weeks, we will be further ahead on Phase II next summer. The guard rails are being installed, and all of the cross cuts will be paved before the road is reopened, which is anticipated by November 11th. We understand that it’s been inconvenient for people who use South Main and South Road, and your patience is appreciated.

Williamsburg Drainage:
The lower part of the road was closed for a portion of today to prep the lower four (4) cross cuts for paving later today. There will be no closures over the weekend. The upper part of the road will be closed again on Monday so the remaining four cuts can be paved by the end of Monday – completing the road work and ending any additional closures of the road. Finish work will happen next week (weather dependent) to clean any material from the roadway and shoulders and to prepare for winter. The road will be swept and shoulders will be marked with reflective whips and stakes to guide the snowplows this winter.
