In order to do our part to “flatten the curve”, the Town Clerk’s office is now closed to the public for non-essential activities. We will be doing business electronically, over the phone and through the mail.
We will still accept and process absentee ballot applications, accept and issue vital records and land record recordings.
Please note, the Connecticut Presidential Preference Primary has been rescheduled to June 2, 2020.
Absentee ballot applications can be accessed here:
https://portal.ct.gov/-/media/sots/ElectionServices/ElectForms/electforms/aabengpdf.pdf?la=en
Once you have completed your application you can put it in the lock box located outside Town Hall, or mail it back to us. Your absentee ballot will be mailed to you when it becomes available.
Vital record registrations: If you are from a funeral home, please call the town clerk’s office at 295-6206 to make an appointment.
Vital record requests: If you are looking for a copy of a birth, death or marriage certificate, fill out the appropriate request form (which can be found on the town clerk’s page of the website) mail it in or put it in the drop box for same day processing. PLEASE DO NOT PUT CASH IN THE DROP BOX.
Land record recording: Please mail or leave in the drop box for processing, or you can call the 295-6206 to make an appointment.
Land records can be viewed and printed from our online portal: https://recordhub.cottsystems.com/
If you need a map, please call for further assistance.
Transfer station/Blish Park stickers can be obtained at the transfer station if you bring something proving residency, or through the mail with a request form.
We will not be doing notary public work at this time. We are very sorry for any inconvenience.
Thank you so much for your understanding, stay healthy everyone
